- Review
- This collection of twenty-six review articles is designed to build upon Siân Echard's "A Companion to Gower" (2004). While not ignoring older studies, the chapter authors especially focus on scholarship of the past twenty to thirty years, with the reader directed to the "John Gower Bibliography Online" (4) as a complement to the substantial bibliography in the book. Each article "not only presents a narrative and a review of the most recent scholarship on its identified topic, but a look at possible avenues for future work in that area" (6). [LBB. Copyright.
